Sarashi Muslin Sage

Sarashi Muslin in Sage is a soft, lightweight 100% cotton fabric traditionally used for Japanese sashiko stitching. Its calm, muted green colour provides a beautiful background for white, cream and natural sashiko threads, while deeper greens or contrasting colours can create a more contemporary finish.

This easy-to-handle cloth is the same type of fabric used for hana fukin sashiko samplers. It is ideal for backing completed samplers, transferring your own sashiko designs or creating useful hand-stitched items for around the home.
