Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Returns Policy
At Everything Fabric, we take great care when preparing, cutting and packing every order. We want you to love your purchase and enjoy a straightforward shopping experience from checkout through to delivery.
Shipping within Australia
Processing and dispatch
In-stock orders are usually dispatched within one business day.
Where possible, orders placed before 12:00 pm AEST on a business day will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed during sales, promotional periods or public holidays may require additional processing time. If, for any reason, an ordered item is out of stock, we will phone or email you to discuss the available options.
Orders containing backordered or delayed products may be held until all items are available. If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you to discuss your options.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order.
Free regular shipping is available on eligible Australian orders over $150. Bulky, heavy or oversized products may be excluded from this offer. Any applicable shipping charge will be displayed before you complete checkout.
Delivery service
Australian orders are sent using Australia Post and include tracking where available. Once your order has been dispatched, tracking details will be sent to the email address supplied at checkout.
Express Post means that your order will be sent using Australia Post's express network. It does not guarantee next-business-day delivery to every location. As Everything Fabric is located in Sarina, Queensland, express deliveries may take longer than overnight. More information is available on the Australia Post website.
Delivery estimates are provided as a guide and begin from the date of dispatch, not the date your order is placed.
Delivery delays
Delivery times may be affected by peak trading periods, severe weather, public holidays, carrier disruptions and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If your tracking has not updated or your parcel is taking longer than expected, please get in touch with us. We will assist you in lodging an enquiry with Australia Post where appropriate.
Delivery addresses
Please check that your name, email address and delivery address are complete and correct before submitting your order.
If you notice an error, contact us immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to update the address before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that changes will be possible after an order has entered processing.
Additional postage or redirection charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer may be payable by the customer.
Authority to leave
If you request or authorise a parcel to be left unattended, responsibility for the parcel generally passes to you once the carrier records it as delivered at the nominated address, except where the carrier has failed to follow the delivery instructions or as otherwise required by law.
Consider selecting a secure delivery address if nobody will be available to receive your order.
Damaged or missing parcels
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, photograph the packaging and its contents before disposing of anything and contact us promptly.
If tracking shows that a parcel has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please check around the property and with other household members or neighbours before contacting us.
We will work with Australia Post to investigate damaged, delayed or missing parcels. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
International shipping
International delivery is available only to destinations offered at checkout.
International shipping charges are calculated at checkout. Delivery estimates are indicative and may be affected by customs processing and local carrier delays.
The recipient is responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges or handling fees imposed by the destination country unless the checkout expressly states that these charges have been collected.
Customers are responsible for confirming that products can lawfully be imported into their destination country.
Order changes and cancellations
Please get in touch with us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.
We can change or cancel an order before processing begins. However, once fabric, batting, interfacing, ribbon, elastic or another product has been cut to your requested length, the order cannot be changed or cancelled unless the product is faulty or we have made an error.
Orders cannot be changed or cancelled after dispatch.
Change-of-mind returns
We accept change-of-mind returns on eligible products when:
-
you contact us within 30 days of delivery;
-
you provide your order number or other proof of purchase;
-
the product is unused, unopened and in its original saleable condition;
-
all packaging, labels, accessories and instructions are included; and
-
the product is not listed as a change-of-mind exclusion below.
Please get in touch with us before returning anything. We will confirm whether the product is eligible and provide return instructions. Returns sent without prior approval may be delayed or returned to the sender.
Customers are responsible for change-of-mind return postage. We recommend using a tracked service, as the returned product remains the customer's responsibility until it reaches us.
Original delivery charges and return postage are not refundable for change-of-mind returns. If an order received free shipping, we will not retrospectively deduct the original standard shipping cost from the product refund.
Products excluded from change-of-mind returns
We cannot accept change-of-mind returns for:
-
fabric, batting, interfacing, stabilisers, ribbon, trim, elastic, webbing, mesh or other products cut to a customer's requested length;
-
patterns, books and other copyrighted material;
-
digital products or downloadable patterns;
-
gift cards;
-
clearance or final-sale products;
-
opened packaged products that cannot be resold in their original condition;
-
personalised, altered, made-to-order or specially ordered products; or
-
products that have been cut, washed, marked, sewn, used or damaged after delivery.
These exclusions do not apply where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by the Australian Consumer Law.
Inspecting fabric and cut products
Please inspect fabric and other cut-to-length products before washing, cutting or sewing them.
Check the design, colour, quantity, width and condition against your order. If you believe there is a problem, stop using the product and contact us promptly with photographs.
Small colour variations may occur between production batches and between the physical product and images displayed on different screens. Natural fibres may also experience some shrinkage when washed. These characteristics are not necessarily faults, but we will assess each concern fairly and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, incomplete or different from what you ordered, please get in touch with us with:
-
your order number;
-
a description of the issue;
-
photographs showing the full product and the affected area; and
-
photographs of the parcel and shipping label if it was damaged in transit.
Please do not wash, cut, sew or otherwise use the product while your claim is being assessed, unless the issue could not reasonably have been discovered beforehand.
We will assess the matter and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a repair, replacement, refund or another suitable resolution.
Where a return is required for a confirmed fault or an error by Everything Fabric, we will provide a return label or reimburse reasonable return-postage costs.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality, and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow three to five business days after we receive and inspect an eligible return for us to process the refund. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time for the funds to appear in your account.
If the original purchase was paid wholly or in part with a gift card or store credit, the corresponding amount will be returned as gift card or store credit.
Exchanges
To ensure the replacement product is available, we generally process exchanges as a return and a new order.
Contact us before returning the original product. If the return is approved, we will explain the available options.
How to request assistance or make a return
Contact Everything Fabric via our website's contact page, including your order number and details about the product in question.
You may also call us on 0419 145 604.
Please wait for return approval and instructions before sending a product back. Do not send returns to an address shown on a parcel or invoice unless we have confirmed that address for your return.
