Inspired by the Thai ixora flower, the quilt features bold, repeating floral blocks that create wonderful movement across the finished quilt. In Thai culture, the ixora is associated with intelligence and good luck and is traditionally used in Wai Khru ceremonies honouring teachers.
Sandy designed Ixora as a tribute to the teachers, family, friends and quilting community who have shared their knowledge and encouragement along the way — making this pattern especially meaningful as well as striking.
Rated for a confident beginner, the pattern includes four sizes from a small mini quilt right through to an 80in bed quilt.
