Got a Beautiful Fabric Panel... and No Idea What to Do With It?
We've all seen them — those gorgeous fabric panels that are simply too lovely to leave behind. So you buy one, take it home, fold it neatly into the cupboard and think...
I'll work out what to make with that later.
Well, later may have finally arrived!
Panel Pizzazz 3-Yard Quilts by Fabric Café is all about turning those wonderful printed panels into finished quilts without making the process complicated.
Inside this 24-page, full-colour book you'll find eight 3-yard quilt patterns, each specifically designed to give printed panels a starring role.
And this is where the book gets particularly useful.
Each quilt is shown two ways — once using a printed panel and again using regular running yardage. So you're not buying a book that can only be used when you happen to have exactly the right panel. The patterns can work with panels, large-scale feature fabrics, novelty prints, directional designs and ordinary yardage too.
Panels of Different Sizes? That's Covered Too
Not every fabric panel is made the same way, and Fabric Café has allowed for that.
The patterns include options for:
- 6in panel blocks
- 7in panel blocks
- 8in panel blocks
- 10in panel blocks
- Full-yard horizontal panels
- Full-yard vertical panels
That gives you much more freedom to look through the panels already hiding in your stash and find a pattern that works.
Want to Make It Bigger?
Six of the eight patterns also include instructions for enlarging the quilts to twin and queen/king topper sizes.
So a 3-yard quilt can become the starting point rather than the finished size.
Why We Like This One
Fabric Café's 3-yard quilt books have become so popular because they take much of the fuss out of choosing fabrics and putting a quilt together.
Panel Pizzazz tackles another problem entirely — what to do with those beautiful panels we couldn't resist buying!
The instructions are clear, diagrams help you along the way, and the construction is approachable enough for newer quilters while still giving experienced quilters plenty of ideas.
Best of all, you're not restricted to panels. See a gorgeous large-scale print you don't want to chop into tiny pieces? One of these designs may be just the answer.
