Nautilus Navy Pre-Stencilled Sashiko Block 12 1/4in

Inspired by the graceful spiral of a nautilus fossil, this BeBe Bold Pre-Stencilled Sashiko Block features a flowing arrangement of shells in varying sizes. The repeating curves create a design that feels organic, balanced and wonderfully calming to stitch.

Inspired by the work of Kazuko Yoshiura, the studio-designed pattern is pre-stencilled onto navy Tsumugi cotton in colour 2008. The softly textured fabric provides a beautiful base for traditional white or ecru sashiko thread, while brighter or variegated colours can create a more contemporary result.

There is no pattern to trace or transfer—simply follow the marked lines with your stitches. Once the stitching is complete, wash the fabric to remove the guidelines and reveal the finished nautilus design clearly.

Measuring approximately 31cm square, this block is a manageable project on its own and offers plenty of creative possibilities once stitched. English tips and instructions are included.
