Madam Sew Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Gel Pens – White, 4 Pack make visible guidelines on dark fabrics for sewing, embroidery, sashiko and quilting. The white ink takes a little time to develop after marking, so allow the line to appear before retracing it.

Test on a scrap of every fabric before use. Madam Sew advises that some fabrics can retain ghost marks and that marks may reappear in cold temperatures. Follow the pen instructions and fabric pressing limits, and avoid use on the visible surface of show quilts.
They're just what I wanted, leave a nice, fine line which is easy to remove when I make a mistake (which is often as I'm not following a pattern but working free hand or free style, whatever). Cheers Thank you.
